CONSULTATIONIf you're a new client or starting a new project, a free consultation is required before booking a tattoo appointment. To book a consultation, visit my website and select a time that works for you. Afterward, you can easily schedule your tattoo appointment either in person or video call. Consultations in person are held at my workspace in Kirkkonummi, Finland. Please provide the following information: • 2-3 reference photos • A general idea of what you envision • Whether you prefer color or black and gray For any questions regarding the tattooing process, please check the FAQs on my site. I’m also happy to answer any questions during the consultation or through the contact form. It’s important to review my portfolio beforehand to understand my style, as all tattoos are executed in my style, regardless of the subject. Remember, a tattoo is a personal and permanent decision. It may be a long-term project, so it’s essential to choose an artist whose style resonates with you. Plan carefully and select a professional who understands your vision and can bring it to life exactly the way you want. If you have any further questions, feel free to reach out via the contact form on my website. I'm here to help guide you through the process!

PREPARATIONAs your tattoo appointment approaches, consider a few things that will make your experience and my work smoother: - It’s important to wash thoroughly before your appointment. - Moisturizing your skin will help with the tattooing process, so make sure to apply lotion a few days in advance. Avoid shaving, but if you decide to do so, be careful to prevent any cuts. - Arrive for your session in good health, as this aids the healing process and prevents potential illnesses in the studio. A well-rested and nourished body will make it easier to sit for the tattoo, so ensure you have eaten and slept well before your appointment. - The studio has a microwave and a refrigerator, so feel free to bring your own snacks. There are also restaurants nearby, and you can order food directly to the studio. Remember to drink plenty of water and avoid alcohol for 24 hours before your tattoo appointment. - You can bring something to keep you occupied during your session, like a book, music, or shows. I’m happy to chat, but I also enjoy working with my headphones on.

COVER-UP TATTOOSWhen creating cover-up tattoos, I consider several factors, such as the size, darkness, and location of the tattoo to be covered. During the consultation we can assess the possibilities and the client's wishes together. Black and difficult-to-cover tattoos can be challenging, and I emphasize that maintaining quality standards is a priority. The consultation will help us determine more accurately what is or isn't feasible. It's important for the client to consider several different ideas for their cover-up tattoo, as not all concepts may be suitable for a cover-up, keeping in mind that the best cover-up tattoo is one where the original tattoo is not visible underneath. Additionally, clients should be prepared for the fact that creating a cover-up tattoo almost always takes more time and may require possible adjustments. I’m happy to to answer any questions during the consultation and work collaboratively with the client to find the best possible solution.

AFTER CAREGently remove the protective covering from the tattoo the next morning. Wash the tattoo thoroughly with water and soap, aiming to remove all grease residue, bodily fluids, and excess ink from the skin. Lather the skin lightly until the surface feels normal and there are no remaining residues. Pat the tattoo dry with a clean towel or paper towel. Apply a generous amount of Panthenol ointment or red Bepanthen and cover the tattoo with a clean protective covering, ensuring that the soft side is against the tattoo. Tape the covering securely with medical tape to prevent it from sliding off the tattoo. The plastic outer surface of the covering prevents the tattoo from drying out, so it is crucial that the covering stays tightly over the tattoo throughout the day. In the evening before bedtime, remove the covering and repeat the washing process as mentioned above with soap and water. Apply new ointment and a clean covering in the same manner as in the morning. Continue the care routine for the first four to five days until the skin starts to peel. Important Notes: - Any skin soap that you are already familiar with is suitable for washing the tattoo. - Do not moisturize the scab; let it dry. - Swimming, sunbathing, and sauna use are strictly prohibited for the first week after getting the tattoo. About two to three months after getting the tattoo, the skin will be fully renewed, and the slight shine will fade. Sports are allowed during the healing period as long as they occur in clean environments and do not involve close contact, such as at the gym or in martial arts. During the healing process, it is recommended to wear clothes that do not cause friction in the area. If you still have any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out! You can send me a message through the contact form found on the Contact page.

HEALING PROCESSImmediately after the tattoo: Change the protective covering according to the instructions after leaving the studio in the evening. Follow the aftercare instructions carefully for the next four days. After four days: Generally, changes in the appearance of the tattoo may occur during the first week, but complete healing may take several more days or longer. This varies from person to person and depending on the tattooed area. Peeling: The tattoo will start to peel, which is normal. Do not pick at dry skin flakes. If the tattoo needs moisturizing, do it only when the skin feels dry and tight. Do not over-moisturize; instead, use light layers. Color changes: The tattoo may look different during the healing process, and the colors may soften. The final appearance will become clearer in about a month or two when the tattoo has settled into the skin. Activities: Avoid close contact or dirty environments during the first week. Swimming and sunbathing are absolutely prohibited. Sports are allowed during the healing process as long as it takes place in clean environments and does not involve close contact, such as at the gym or in martial arts. Signs of infection: Signs of infection include severe redness, swelling, heat, oozing, or intense pain. If you suspect an infection, seek help promptly. In case of infection: If you notice mild signs of infection, such as redness or swelling, you can find powdered Basibact at the pharmacy. If the tattoo is not oozing, you can also use the ointment form of Basibact. Be sure to only get both from the pharmacy if you are certain it is a mild infection. If you suspect a more serious infection and experience fever, flu-like symptoms, or other unusual conditions, seek immediate medical assistance. If the infection is severe or you have any doubts, contact a doctor or go to the emergency room. It is advisable to seek help readily from the pharmacy in the case of an infection. Pain relief medication is allowed and recommended during the tattoo healing period. All questions are valuable because only by asking can one learn and understand. There are no stupid questions, only those that have not been asked! Remember, you are always welcome to reach out regarding any tattoo-related matters!

If the design becomes more complex or if the project expands based on your broader wishes, I will reach out to discuss any major changes, including how they may affect the pricing or duration of the tattoo. Additionally, I want to emphasize that I am always ready to help address questions related to the tattoo area, such as the impact of any existing tattoos. So please don't hesitate to ask! Below are generalized time estimates for different sizes of tattoos: 1 day: Neck, back of the hand, foot, knee 1-2 days: Wrist-forearm, wrist-elbow, shin 2 days: Inner thigh, outer or inner side of the leg 2-3 days: Shoulder-forearm, front thigh, calf 4 days: Chest, abdomen 8+ days: Full back, leg sleeve, sleeve

DAY GUIDEThe day typically starts at 10am, with the tattooing process beginning shortly after. I usually take short breaks throughout the day, including a 30min lunch break, and we typically finish around 6pm. Upon your arrival, I’ll give you a brief overview of the space and we will go through your final design, and any minor adjustments can be made on-site. Once everything is finalized, I’ll take measurements and check the tattoo area before preparing the stencil. We’ll then move to the tattoo station, where I’ll apply the stencil, and we’ll check it together before it dries. After that, you can get comfortable in the tattoo chair, and I’ll help you find the best position for the tattooing process. If you feel unwell or need a break at any point, please let me know. After the tattoo, I’ll clean the area so you can admire your new tattoo. If you want any last-minute adjustments, just let me know. I will clean the workstation and disinfect the tattoo, and we can take some photos once the skin has settled. If you’d like pictures, just ask, and I can send them to you later. Before you leave, we’ll discuss the after-care, feel free to ask any questions!
